The Department of Trade announced that 97 product lines that are currently allowed under the Non-Automatic Licensing system will be allowed to be prepared under the Automatic Licensing system starting from June 15.
In order to facilitate post-earthquake export operations, 97 product lines currently allowed under the Non-Automatic Licensing system will be allowed under the Automatic Licensing system from June 15 to August 31. The product types that will be allowed under the Automatic Licensing system include agricultural products such as garlic, onions and pulses, rice, corn, millet, buckwheat and oilseeds. The products that will be allowed to be converted from the Non-Automatic Licensing system to the Automatic Licensing system include 58 product lines such as garlic, onions and pulses, 25 product lines such as rice, corn, millet and buckwheat and 14 product lines of oilseed crops.

Export licenses are granted under the Automatic Licensing System and Non-Automatic Licensing System through Myanmar Tradenet 2.0 online system, and 1,556 lines of goods are approved under the Non-Automatic Licensing System. In order to ensure orderly trade, all goods exported through sea routes and border trade posts are allowed to be exported only after applying for an export license. The Non-Automatic Licensing system is a system where a license is first applied for and then verified, while the Automatic Licensing System is a system where export and import licenses are automatically issued without the need for verification by the Department of Trade.
