The Central Bank of Myanmar announced on February 24 that it will sell US$23 million and 150 million Thai baht. The sale will be made to fuel oil traders through the FX Market Online Trading Platform, which includes the Central Bank, AD licensed banks and export and import traders.

The Central Bank’s move to sell US dollar, yuan, and Thai baht has led to a decline in exchange rates in the foreign exchange market and become convenient for export and import traders.
The Central Bank sold more than one million yuan and more than one million Thai baht on February 17, nearly one million yuan and one million Thai baht on February 18, more than 600,000 yuan and more than 900,000 Thai baht on February 20 as well as more than 500,000 yuan and more than two million Thai baht on February 24.
