The Central Bank of Myanmar announced that it sold US$ 23 million at the rate of 3595 kyats per dollar, over 150 million Thai baht at the rate of 131. 50 kyats per baht and more than 3.4 million Chinese yuan at the rate of 542 kyats per yuan on February 26. The sale was made through the FX Market Online Trading Platform, which includes the Central Bank, AD licensed banks, and exporters and importers.

The Central Bank’s move to sell US dollar, Chinese yuan and Thai baht has led to a decline in exchange rates in the foreign exchange market and become convenient for export and import traders.
The Central Bank sold more than 900,000 yuan and more than one million Thai baht on February 17, nearly one million yuan and one million Thai baht on February 18, more than 600,000 yuan and more than 900,000 Thai baht on February 20 as well as more than 500,000 yuan and more than two million Thai baht on February 24.
