The Central Bank of Myanmar announced on May 22 that it has cancelled four payment cards that were allowed to be used for a single purpose. The four cancelled cards are Kispa Nadi Express Limited’s ipay Card, San Yaung Ni Road Transport Company Limited’s K Card, Active Business Consolidation Company Limited’s ABC Gift Card, and Integrated Smart Solution Company Limited’s AnyPay Prepaid Card, the statement said.
According to the statement, these companies were cancelled due to their failure to abide by the rules, regulations, orders, and instructions issued by the Central Bank under directive on electronic cards and payments.
Currently, the Central Bank of Myanmar is also selling foreign currency daily for export/import business operators in the foreign exchange market.
