According to the Ayeyarwaddy Region Investment and Companies Directorate, 8 new domestic and foreign investments have been approved in Ayeyarwaddy Region from April to August of this fiscal year.
The new investment projects allowed are 6 domestic investments and 2 foreign investments and the total investment amount is more than 2 million Kyats and 5.6 million US dollars.
These 8 investments will be able to create more than 1,300 local jobs, according to the Ayeyarwaddy Region Investment and Companies Directorate.
In Ayeyarwaddy Region, domestic and foreign investors mainly invest in agriculture-based industries and also CMP Garment Industries, an official from the Ayeyarwaddy Region Investment and Companies Directorate said.
