Singaporean energy company Sembcorp’s Myingyan Power Plant has resumed operations which was temporarily suspended, according to release.
Due to local conditions, the plant’s operations have been temporarily suspended since last August 12.
It is decided to resume operations that the situation in the area around the power plant has stabilized and it is considered safe for the employees to return to the job.
Sembcorp has already negotiated with the Electric Power Generation Enterprise (EPGE) to resume operations and the safety and condition of the employees will continue to be monitored as a priority.
Sembcorp started operating the Myingyan natural gas power plant in 2018 and it is reported that the plant produces 225 megawatts of electricity per day.
