Yoma Strategic Holdings Company announced that the executive chairman U Thein Wai (aka) Mr. Serge Pan has resigned, on July 24.
In his place, he appointed his son Melvin Pan, who is acting as the chief executive officer.
The recent situation in Myanmar regarding Mr.Serge Pan has caused uncertainty, regarding the negotiations with the Myanmar authorities and regarding banking operations in Myanmar, according to the statement.
Due to these circumstances, Mr.Serge Pan and the company’s board of directors decided to speed up the succession planning for the best interest of company shareholders, employees and the customers.
