Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, at the Diplomatic Credentials Hall of the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw on January 9 afternoon, according to the statement released by the Information Team of the State Administration Council.
At the meeting, they discussed promotion of diplomatic relations and trade between the two countries as well as enhancement of cooperation between the two countries including matters on promoting cooperation in the defense sector.
In addition, they discussed the progress of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, promoting cooperation in sectors such as education, agriculture, livestock, medicine, industry and tourism as well as the political developments and changes in Myanmar and the preparations being made to hold free and fair elections.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister met with union ministers including Member of the State Administration Council General Nyo Saw and Deputy Prime and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and relevant officials, on 9 January morning.
