18 commodities including vegetable, meat and meat products must be registered with General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), according to Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization.

Goods allowed to register at GACC are meat and meat products, aqua products, dairy products, bird nests and related products, the upper shell used in cooking, honey and bee products, eggs and egg products and cooking oil as well as meat made from wheat gluten that can be ready-to-eat or frozen.

In addition, edible seeds, milled crop products and barley, fresh vegetables and dehydrated vegetables, pulses and beans, spices, nuts and seeds, dried fruit, unroasted coffee beans and cocoa beans, special nutritional food and health supplements are also included. The foodstuff exporters from Myanmar to China have been allowed to export only when the goods are registered with GACC since January 1, 2022.

To export the goods in groups, the exporters must take contacts with Department of Agriculture, Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department, Department of Fisheries and Department of Food and Drug Administration. According to Department of Trade Promotion, there are 3358 applications from 1650 companies and factories from December 1, 2021 to January 3,2025.
