According to the Ministry of Energy, three state-owned petrol stations have been opened in Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay on January 4, and have started selling domestically produced petrol (Ron-68).
The stations were opened one in Nay Pyi Taw and two in Mandalay and locally produced gasoline (Ron-68) were started selling to tricycles and motor cycles with the price of Ks.2200 per liter. Additionally, state-owned gasoline stations, one in Pegu Region and one in Shan State, are preparing to sell locally produce gasoline in January.
Currently, fuel oils are producing at Thanlyin Oil Refinery, Chauk Oil Refinery and Thanpayarkan Oil Refinery , according to Ministry of Energy.
