There are 451 demand letters to recruit more than 1,640 Myanmar workers from Japan, the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo has announced. The letters have been verified and sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Old aged care work, food industry, services industry, manufacturing industry and other industries recruit Myanmar workers every month sending offering letters. The Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo and the labor supervision company in Japan are verifying whether or not the factories and companies are legally established in Japan, as well as document evidence, demand letters and sending them through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Currently, a new type of forestry business has been added with the technical trainee program that is recruiting technical trainees from Myanmar. The Japanese government has also estimated that 570,000 aged care workers will be needed by 2040.
