The Ministry of Commerce released a notification regarding the 2025 vehicle import defining model year of the vehicles.
Existing vehicle import policies will not be changed and continue to be applied.
According to the notification, private vehicles will be allowed to import the modals manufactured from 2024 to 2025. Commercial vehicles, such as trucks and passenger vehicles, will be from 2021 to 2025.
Moreover, fire trucks, ambulances and machineries manufactured from 2016 to will be allowed for import, the notification said.
All imported vehicles such as private, commercial, fire trucks and ambulances must be left-hand drive, according to the notification.
Heavy equipment that cannot be driven on public roads are allowed to be brought into the country as long as they are 15 years old or less.
The notification stated this model year specification is a regular notification under rules and regulations.
