Domestic car trading market has been quiet with prices dropping slightly this month, according to the participants in market.
Some domestic car market experts say that both trading and prices are stable in the market due to the current travelling season, rising interest in production of new Suzuki cars, stable exchange rate, and the introduction of new SKD brands.
U Min Min Maung, vice chairman of the Myanmar Automobile Manufacturer and Distributor Association, gave his opinion that the car market’s trading will remain normal until March next year and that there will be no significant change in prices. In the domestic car market, car prices have reached their highest levels in July and August, but some car prices dropped later this yea while some current car prices have remained at their highest level.
Compared to last year’s prices, car prices have increased by 10 to 30 percent this year, and currently, gasoline cars and EVs costing around 100 million kyats are popular among the buyers, according to the participants in the market.
