Moreover, it is mentioned in the budget that the gross domestic product (GDP) for 2024-2025 fiscal year was estimated to be over 150,000 billion kyats with an expectation of 3.8 percent economic growth rate. Myanmar’s economic growth is expected to be 1.9 percent in the agricultural sector, 3.5 percent in the industrial sector and 5 percent in the services sector, the budget said.
Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein has said that the economic growth rate in the first six months of this fiscal year from April to September was 2.4 percent.
