The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) has announced that it will provide appropriate, equitable assistance to groups involved in the rice and crop value chain in the earthquake-hit areas after assessing their needs.
The MRF will carry out the process of transitioning from emergency relief operations to rehabilitation operations starting May 1. In this transition, priority will be given to assisting those, who are involved in rice and crop chain, as well as providing assistance to agricultural organizations and families of departmental personnel, the announcement said.

The MRF Operation AID (Action in Disaster) program was launched on April 1 to provide relief and assistance to earthquake-affected areas in central Myanmar including Nay Pyi Taw and regions of Mandalay and Sagaing and southern Shan State.
