The Myanmar Rubber Planters and Producers Association has estimated that the country will be able to export about 350,000 to 380,000 tonnes of rubber in the 2025-2026 financial year. Last financial year, only about 300,000 tonnes of rubber were exported, earning an export revenue nearly US$ 500 million.
The annual domestic consumption of rubber is more than 20,000 tonnes, and about 300,000 tonnes are exported. Of the rubber exports, 75 percent are exported to China, and Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, and Japan are also exported.

Myanmar’s rubber exports have earned an average of US$250 million to US$450 million per year from the 2018-2019 financial year to the 2022-2023 financial year, making rubber an important industrial crop for export earning.
