CP poultry farmers in Magway faced difficulties because CP chickens were unable to transport due to the road closure to Rakhine. Generally, CP poultry farmers keep a batch of chickens for a maximum of 45 to 50 days. But currently, they have continued to maintain the chickens in their farms because of road closure.

U Pan Saing, one of CP poultry farmers, said that the chicken are kept over 70 days and they are no longer gaining weight although being fed chicken feed causing additional expense and less profit. Keeping the chicken up to 70 days in this year is their first experience.

CP poultry farming has been carried out in Magway in contact with the companies as well as in manageable scale. CP poultry farming in contact with the companies earns farm rental fee, labour charges and keeping a batch of chicken takes 45 days and carries out 5 batches in a year.
