STORY: The largest span cable-stayed bridge in the Yellow River Delta, Dongjin Yellow River Bridge, achieved full connectivity on Sunday in Dongying, east China’s Shandong Province.
The bridge boasts a total length of 1,607 meters, with a main span of 420 meters across the Yellow River.
The project adopted an advanced monitoring and measuring system to monitor and adjust 32 pairs of stay cables and 77 cantilever sections and realized the zero error of the closure of the main girder.
After the Dongjin Yellow River Bridge is put into use, it will further strengthen the ability of the Yellow River Delta region to connect the domestic high-speed network, optimize the traffic layout, relieve the pressure of trans-Yellow River traffic, promote the coordinated development of the area, and promote the implementation of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
