Myanmar nationals in the Middle East and the UAE who want to return to Myanmar can contact the relevant airline ticket agents directly, and if they have any difficulties, they can contact the Myanmar Embassy for assistance, the Myanmar Embassy in Abu Dhabi said.
Starting from March 6, Myanmar Airlines International (MAI) has started operating the Yangon-Dubai-Yangon route after being able to liaise with the UAE Civil Aviation Authority to help Myanmar nationals in the UAE return to their country. In addition, MAI will operate regular flights on March 8 (Sunday), March 11 (Wednesday) and March 13 (Friday), and other airlines are also making arrangements to resume their regular flights, according to the statement.
Therefore, Myanmar citizens in the region and the UAE who wish to return to their country for various reasons can contact the relevant airline ticket agents directly, and if they have any difficulties, they can contact the Myanmar Embassy for assistance, the statement said.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on March 6 saying that countries involved in conflicts and hostilities in the Middle East need to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and urge them to reduce conflicts and hostilities and find peaceful solutions through negotiations.
