Borussia Dortmund have signed German international Maximilian Beier. The 21-year-old striker passed a medical today in Dortmund and has signed a 5-year deal.
Beier, who moved to Hoffenheim from the Energie Cottbus youth system at the age of 15, made his breakthrough in the Bundesliga last season and established himself as one of the fastest players in the German top flight.
He scored 16 goals in 33 games and was voted “Rookie of the Month” in both February and March 2024. He also received his first senior international call-up in March, and he was part of Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for this summer’s European Championship.
Maximilian Beier said: “I’m really excited to take this next major step in my career. I had a fantastic feeling from the moment I first spoke to Borussia Dortmund, because I could tell that they really wanted to bring me here. I’m proud that I now play for one of the best teams in Europe: we want to win titles. And I’ll do everything I can to make that happen.”
