Solar-powered electrical equipment worth more than 160 million kyats was donated from Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China. The donated items were handed over to No 2 Basic Education High School in Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw, under the Connected Hearts of Yunnan Province programme on February 8.
At the donation ceremony, remarks were delivered by Daw Myint Myint Aye, District Education Officer of Pyinmana District under the Department of Basic Education; Daw Kyi Lin, representing the donor Sunshine Energy Technology Co., Ltd.; and First Secretary Zhang Zhonghu from the Interim Liaison Office.
Afterwards, responsible officials presented the solar-powered equipment and related accessories, project completion documents, and certificates of honor to the school principal of No.2 Basic Education High School , Daw Kyu Kyu Myint.
The donated solar equipment, valued at over 160 million kyats, includes 80 solar panels, three battery inverters, and related accessories. The project’s electricity generation capacity is reported to be 9.24 kilowatts.
