The Union Election Commission (UEC) responded that the number of Tatmadaw representatives nominated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in the 2025 election will remain the same as in previous Hluttaws. According to the constitution, the number of Tatmadaw representatives nominated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces are 25 percent of the seats in the Hlrttaw which constitute 110 seats in the Pyithu Hluttaw and 56 seats in the Amyotha Hluttaw in the past two terms.
According to Article 74 of the Constitution, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw is composed of two chambers: the Pyithu Hluttaw and the Amyotha Hluttaw. Therefore, according to Article 109 of the Constitution, the Pyithu Hluttaw must be formed by no more than 110 Tatmadaw representatives nominated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and according to Article 141 of the Constitution, the Amyotha Hluttaw must be formed by 56 military representatives nominated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

In the upcoming 2025 election, Pyithu Hluttaw will be held under the First-past-the-post (FPTP) system, the Amyotha Hluttaw will be held under the First- Past- the -Post (FPTP) and Proportional Representation (PR) system, while the Regional or State Hluttaw will be held under the First- Past- the- Post (FPTP) and Proportional Representation (PR) system, which is a combination of the First- Past- the- Post (FPTP) and Proportional Representation (PR) systems.
