The Myanmar Think Tank and Media Group, who were in Beijing to study the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Myanmar diplomatic relations, were received by Ran Bo, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Liaison with China (Hong Kong), Macao and China (Taipei) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China at 8:30 am on August 26, and they exchanged views on China (Taipei) issues, including the One China Policy.
During the meeting, U Than Htun, executive member of the Myanmar Institute for Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) from Think Tank Group, led the discussion. Dr. Tin Tun Oo, Chairman of the Swezone Media Group, also participated in the exchange. Additionally, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Liaison with China (Hong Kong), Macao and China (Taipei) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China also discussed China’s One China Policy in detail.
During the discussion, U Kyaw Min, Chairman of the China-Myanmar Friendship Association (Mandalay), presented Mr. Yan Bo with a commemorative book on the 75th anniversary of China-Myanmar friendship. The Myanmar friendship group, which is currently on a study tour, consists of 10 members and arrived in Beijing on August 25.
