A relevant official said that there are many commodities in the market because import licenses are being granted in accordance with the established procedures. A list of 35 products that are temporarily prohibited from being imported into Myanmar has been posted on social media, and the list of 35 products is not the latest announcement.
Currently, import licenses are being granted in accordance with established procedures for items on that list such as elevators, sandals, batteries, medicine, mobile phones, noodles, rice vermicelli, car tires, biscuits, industrial machinery required for business operations, dryers, tissues, engine oil, light bulbs, and a wide variety of plastic consumer goods. These products are also easily available in the market, and there are also many products in stock in shopping malls, markets, and warehouses.

Therefore, the list of products on social media pages may be done by unethical and greedy people who want to sell products at high prices, or by raising prices and creating market instability. In addition, a relevant official said that it is possible that unscrupulous people are taking advantage of the current situation in the country to incite political instability.
