In the opening match of Group (C) of the AFF U-23 Men’s Football Championship held in Indonesia, Myanmar U-23 and Timor-Leste played a 4-4 draw at 7:30 PM Myanmar time on July 16. Myanmar team took the lead several times in the match, but Timor-Leste was superior to Myanmar in terms of play and possession and was able to get the necessary equalizer.
The goals for Myanmar were scored by Than Toe Aung, Zaw Win Thein, Shine Wunna Aung and Min Maw Oo. Myanmar team will play with Thailand U-23 on July 22 at 7:30 PM Myanmar time.
In this competition, Myanmar team is in Group (C) with Thailand U-23, and Timor-Leste U-23. The three group-winners and the best group runner-up will advance to the semi-finals.
