State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo said that the government is working to develop a reliable and all inclusive digital economy that will benefit the country and the people.
General Mya Htun Oo made the remarks at the second Digital Economy Forum organized by Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Tianjin, China on July 11. He said that the digital economy has become a force that is transforming societies, businesses and lifestyles and is the lifeblood of future development. He also said that the digital economy is seen as a strategic force for Myanmar’s comprehensive development and resilience.
Since digital technologies do not respect national borders, international cooperation is needed to address the challenges of the digital economy. Therefore Myanmar will work with all SCO member states to develop the digital economy, said General Mya Htun Oo. The second Digital Economy Forum hosted by was Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Tianjin, China, from July 9 to 12.
