Buying activity in the real estate market in Dala Township is currently high but sales are low with some properties removed from the market, according to real estate agents in Dala Township.
Currently, there is a lot of land buying and selling with more transactions happening on Dala and Kawhmu Roads, said an official of Shan Lay Real Estate. In Dala Township, 20 x 60 feet plots with permit and grant documents are priced at around 150 to 750 million kyats while 40 x 60 feet plots are priced at 400 to 200 million kyats. Some real estate agents believe that people are buying properties in Dala Township because the Yangon-Dala Bridge project is nearing completion.

Even after the bridge project is completed, it is unlikely that property prices in Dala will increase significantly from the current price, said U Myo Myint Aung, general secretary of the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central).
The Dala river crossing bridge, officially known as Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge, is being built at a total cost of about more than US$188 million, including a loan from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund of South Korea and the government contributions, and the entire project is expected to be completed by December.
