The Myanmar Football Federation has announced that the Myanmar women’s national football team will compete in the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualification Group (C) matches, which will be hosted in Myanmar from June 29 to July 5.
The Myanmar women’s team is in Group C of the Asian Cup qualifiers alongside Bahrain, Bangladesh and Turkmenistan. Myanmar will play their opening matches against Turkmenistan on June 29, Bangladesh on July 2 and Bahrain on July 5. A total of 34 teams are competing in the qualifiers, divided into 8 groups and only the group winner will advance to the main tournament.

The tournament will be held in three cities in Australia from March 1 to 26, 2026. Host Australia, China, who won the 2022 Women’s Asian Cup, and South Korea and Japan, who finished second and third, have qualified directly for the final round.
