The State will reinstall electricity meters in Sagaing that were damaged by the Mandalay earthquake free of charge, an official of Sagaing Region Electricity Supply Enterprise said.
A list of household and power meters in Sagaing that were damaged by the earthquake has been collected, and completely damaged electricity meters will be replaced without any charge.

There will be no need to pay any fines or late fees until the buildings are rebuilt and electricity meters are installed and ready for use, the official said. When homes and offices in Sagaing inform the Electricity Supply Enterprise of the completion of repairing their damaged buildings, the meters will be reinstalled.
