The Department of Urban & Housing Development released a notification that there are fraudulent sale of apartments using fake purchase permits for affordable housing units. The Department of Urban and Housing Development has issued a warning to the public to be able to avoid false sales or purchases, as there are fraudulent sale of apartments using fake notices of permission to purchase apartments.
The warning notice was released showing a fake notice and a fraudulent sale letter to purchase Room No. (302) 4-story building No.(12) with (4) Rooms attached in the Kyansitmin Housing Estate (Part 2)in Hlaing Tharyar (East) Township, Yangon Region, at a price of Ks. 3.5 million.
Currently, the Department of Urban & Housing Development under the Ministry of Construction has announced that it will sell 874 rooms in the Yoma Yeik Thar Low-Cost Housing Project in Dagon Seikkan Township, Yangon Region. The apartments will be sold to retired public servants and young public servants with low incomes who experience living difficulties. A total of more than 30,000 applications were sold, and more than 28,000 applications have been submitted within the specified period.
The Housing Sales Committee will scrutinize the applications and select those that meet the criteria through a lottery system. The Department of Housing and Urban Development also announced that it will send out letters of notification to those who win the lottery.
