The rental fees for apartments in townships of Yangon Region has become more expensive than before due to the influx of temporarily displaced people and local migrants, U Thein Lwin, chairman of Yangon Region Myanmar Real Property Development Association, said.
Apartment rents range from around 300,000 to 100,0000 kyats in Tamwe, Sanchaung, Hlaing and downtown Yangon areas while the lowest rent is around 200,000 kyats in Shwepyitha, Hlaingthaya, Dagon Myothit (East) and Dagon Myothit (South) townships depending on locations and sizes of apartments.
Currently, apartment and condo rents in townships within Yangon Region are around 300,000 kyats, U Thein Lwin said. In addition, trading in the real estate market in the Yangon Region is quiet while the rent market is more active.
