The Yangon Region Investment Committee has approved three new investment projects that could create over a thousand jobs, according to the statement released by the committee.
The Yangon Region Investment Committee held a meeting on January 28 attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, the chairman of the committee.
At the meeting, one fully Myanmar-owned investment project and two foreign-owned investment projects were approved in the sectors of hotel and tourism services and industry. The approved projects include hotel services, ready-mix concrete sales and CMP garment manufacturing. The investment amount of the approved projects is 800 million kyats and nearly US$6 million.
