A total of 144 Myanmar workers were sent to South Korea on January 15 through the Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) under the Employment Permit System (EPS) of South Korea.
The 144 workers included 107 new workers for the manufacturing industry and 37 for agriculture and livestock industries.
Currently, the POEA is sending workers to South Korea under only the type of EPS system.
More than 10,000 workers will be sent to South Korea by 2025, including female workers for the service sector.
