The Department of Agriculture invited expression of interest (EOI) on January 15th for interested companies to submit their proposals to export soybeans from Myanmar to China.
The Department of Agriculture will conduct regular scrutiniszation and registration annually in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the plant pest control agreements signed between Myanmar and China. Interested companies can submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) to the Department of Agriculture offices in the regions and states by February 28.
Myanmar exports soybeans to China, India and Thailand and exported 228.73 tons of soybeans worth US$ 0.20 million in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
