322 consumer complaints were accepted from January to December 15 last year, according to Department of Consumer Affairs. The most of complaints were related to services and other complaints were related to communication,financial, electronic trading and commodity.
To be able to call and complaint, Consumer Call Center(1535) has been launched at Department of Consumer Affairs headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw since 2021 and now extension numbers have been established in Yangon and Mandalay. Last 2023 one year period, there are 346 consumer complaints and complaints related to services were 280 representing the largest one among others, according to Department of Consumer Affairs.
