Ruili China and Muse Myanmar cross-border marathon was held in Ruili on January 5, and Myanmar won 4 first prizes, according to a statement from the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
More than 9,000 participants from many countries and regions, such as China, Myanmar and England, participated in the current marathon and it was organized with 4 competition groups, such as full marathon, half marathon, short distance fun run and Parent-child event. Myanmar won four first prizes: two for full marathon, man and woman, and two for half marathon, man and woman, according to statement.
The marathon started to launch at Nonmohukan (Museum) in Ruili, went around the border checkpoint 81 at the Myanmar Palace Gate finishing the race at Nonmohukan (Museum). It is also learnt that the participants from Myanmar were also awarded paukphaw prizes to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries and swemyo paukphaw friendship.
