36 people have died in the accidents of YBS buses running in Yangon in this year, U Lyan Cin Mang, Joint Secretary ,Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC) said.
36 people were dead and 136 people were injured in 70 YBS accidents as from January to 15 December, 2024. Additionally, claims for rules and regulations violation of YBS busses accounted for 50,000.
Drivers, who failed to comply with the rules and regulations, are being educated, and if they violate the rules and regulations again, action will be taken by imposing them from driving the YBS buses U Lyan Cin Mang said.
